Book Tour Stops in DC, NYC, the Bay Area, and Portland!
Please come see us! Like, I literally beg :)
A book tour is not often written in the stars for a debut author. The way publishers see it, no one knows who most debut authors are (true), and therefore they will probably not show up in droves to debut author events or buy enough books at these events to cover the cost of getting said author on a plane and in a hotel to the city said book event is taking place in (also true). They told me all that and I still boldly and perhaps foolishly declared SET ME UP WITH SOME BOOK EVENTS ANYWAY. They said “sure!” They also said “…we will not be covering all the costs for that, however.” Which, I get it! And that’s soooo totally fair! But I wanted a damn book tour, and we’re making it happen. So here is where you can find me in May and June. This is also where I gently beg you to show up to these events if you live in or near these places — please don’t make me stare out into an empty audience. It happens to every author at one point or another, but I am trying to push off that experience as long as possible. If you don’t come for me, at least come for my VERY WONDERFUL CONVERSATION PARTNERS. They are truly amazing and I’m so hype to even be sharing a stage with them.
Alrighty, here we go — here is where I’ll be in the next few months.
First up we have an event I’m doing as part of YAllwest in Santa Monica! We will be building bookquets, whatever those are, and TBH I cannot wait. I’ll be there with two other authors, LaDarrion Williams (BONES AT THE CROSSROADS) and I.V. Marie (IMMORTAL CONSEQUENCES). Come see us if you’re at the fest!
And then the mini tour itself…

I think Alison Cochrun would be great for your Portland stop!
